BA 5, NYA 0

The Bridgton tennis team traveled to North Yarmouth yesterday for a make-up match with the rebuilding North Yarmouth Academy Panthers. By the end of the afternoon, the Wolverines had snapped their string of 3-2 losses with a convincing 5-0 win. Leading the way was Nick Osgood at #3 singles, who, in an impressive display of power tennis, bested his opponent in 35 minutes, 6-0, 6-2. Nick Thieme, playing at #2, dispatched a game Chris Meixell, 6-2, 6-0. Playing the last match of the day, top singles player Rob Lundberg continued his strong play with a 6-0, 6-2 victory over Chris Whiting, the Panthers' #1 singles player.

In doubles, the #1 team of Matt Hill and Dave Martin pushed their record as a team to 2-0 with a quick 6-0, 6-1 win over Simon Hebert and Sam Leishman. At second doubles, Mike Wheeler and Zach Johnson also pushed their record to 2-0 with a 6-0, 6-0 blanking of the Panther second doubles team.

The Wolverines will travel to Readfield, Maine on Saturday, April 25th for a 1:30 match against rival and defending MAISAD champs Kents Hill School.
